Circumcise My Heart

I have walked the road of life and have covered many miles. I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. I have at times been a king and a fool. But at the age of 15 I met a man Who changed my life with pure love and forgiveness and with helping hands…

JESUS.

I was just wandering around with no place to live, no place to eat or call home. His hands reached down and led me into a place of peace, and He started to guide my steps.

From that time on, as long as I followed His ways, by His power I was able to turn my life around, and everything got better. A job, the army, a wife and children, an even better job and better skills. At times I would fall back into the old ways and dig myself into a hole, but He was always there. He reached down and lifted me up again and put me back on the path He had for me.

Now the sun has set on part of my life with the passing of my wife of 58 years. Dark clouds came and, again, I was alone but not lost. I asked Him for help, and JESUS heard my cry. I didn’t know what I was going to do.

A short time later the dark clouds lifted, and the Son began to shine. He blessed me with a new wife with wisdom and a loving heart for God; a beauty to my eyes like I have never seen before. He told her what I needed and how to show me His ways. Now the darkness is all gone and is replaced with a new joy and peace and closeness to Him that I have needed for a long time. He is showing me that to live with Him in eternity is not accomplished by what my hands do, but by what His love and sacrifice has already done. He is circumcising my heart.

I’m out of a dark valley now and climbing to the top of the mountain to meet Him there forever.

Christian, are you confined?

Christians should not be confined to the grandstand of life. Don’t just sit there and watch, ENTER THE ARENA of His plans for you, and ask God how you can get down there and go to work. By His Spirit, fight the battle, do not only cheer other fighters on. If we want to see a work – a powerful work – we must be willing to participate in His plans for us and others. It’s a relationship; we don’t just stand there and “let God happen to us.”

Proclaim the Gospel of JESUS and the cross!  Show and display the power of GOD, show people the power of prayer, the power of healing, of salvation and the gifts of the Spirit and the need of the anointing of God in your life. Ask Holy Spirit for the power of Jehovah God to course through your spirit. Decide to become the church that GOD wants you to be, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember, all life begins (the “new” creation) and ends (the “old” man) at the foot of the cross.

“David”

David is a man in church who is mentally challenged – from what cause I do not know.  He cannot read or write and only his mother and sister understand his speech.  David likes everyone.  He loves books with pictures in them.

I gave him a children’s bible that is heavily illustrated, and he carries it everywhere.  He shows it to everyone, pointing to the pictures he likes.  We tell him who’s in the pictures and what the pictures and stories are about, and he gets very happy and studies the pictures and remembers what you tell him.  He understands, he just can’t articulate.

David is a JOY to be around; he loves everybody, especially the Pastor and his Sunday School teacher.  He always wants to help – with everything.  When the church is short on men to take the offering plates around, they call on David to help.  This makes him feel good and feel wanted.

David has been challenged all his life; now he is between 60 and 65 years old, a grown man with a little child’s mind who really enjoys life.  He looks like a man in his 30s.  We can learn lots from David.
