Awakened to Glory

Kathaleen H. Palmer, wife of Jack R. Palmer for nearly 58 years, departed the earth for Heaven’s Glory on Thursday, January 15, 2015.  She was the love of Jack’s life, the mother of his four children, and a pillar of her church and Christian community.

While we know sister Kathaleen is now enjoying eternal life in Heaven with Christ Jesus, we who remain on the earth will sorely miss her.  Our lives have been indelibly benefited by her strong witness for Jesus, her gorgeous smile and quick wit, and the way she always looked for the good in others through every circumstance.

Because of Christ Jesus’ blood sacrifice winning the bulk of her life, we who grieve her loss surely “sorrow not as those who have no hope.”  We know that, in due season, we will see her again.  Thank You, Lord Jesus, for receiving Your servant safely to her reward.

Our love and thanks go also to you, sister Kathaleen… until we meet again.

from their labors, and their works do follow them.”  (Rev. 14:13)

Rock or Sand

(Matt. 7:24-27)

Two men both built houses and both were very nice and as modern as they could be made.  One man built his on rocky ground, right on top of the rocks; it had a nice view.

The other man built his on a nice scratch of sand.  He also had a very nice view.  Both built good, solid houses.

Then one day a great storm came; the wind and rain blew for many days.  Both men suffered.  Both were strong men, but one house was built on the foundation of God’s Word – the other built on the strength of the world and its wisdom.

They were both built at the same time in their life.

But the wise man chose the promises of God and the truth of His Word.  In the end he suffered no loss but gained life forever.  The other man lost all and his life.

The storm came to both men equally.  One chose God’s promises and, the other, the world.

“Choose today where you build for eternity.”
