“JOY”

JOY: A feeling or state of great delight or happiness, pleasure, elation.  To feel joyful, glad, rejoicing.

Joy must have its foundation in the Word of God along with Love; this is our base in Christ.

We realize where Joy comes from.  It is in realizing that our sins are forgiven by the Blood of Jesus on the cross.

The word “joy” or “joyful” appears in scripture many times.

HAPPINESS: A state of being happy.  Of good fortune, pleasure, contentment, of having Joy.

The word “happy” appears in scripture less times than Joy.  It is safe to say that you can’t have Joy without happiness… it is part of Joy’s essence – deposited in the transient – where joy itself is all-consuming, everlasting, and eternal.

The joy of the Lord is our Strength, and if we have the joy of the Lord in our hearts, happy will be our every fleeting circumstance.  We will have happiness as well as joy and, in His Presence, we have Peace.

If people see Peace, Joy, and Happiness in our every-day life, they should also see Christ and perhaps even want us to share His Joy with them.  The life we live should be the ministry of us all to the world around us.

Peace and Joy starts on our knees; happiness is the gift God gives us to help us through the things trying to come upon us to steal our Joy.

The Widow’s Mite

You have not given anything until you have given everything; until you have given the widow’s mite. If you want to receive you must learn how to give.  Ask God.

Lord, if you can do something through me – anything that will give glory – let it be so.  When you do what He asks to His glory, then you have started the process of giving the widows mite.  The more you do what He asks, the more you will receive from Him more than you have given – maybe not in kind, but in blessings of good health, protection from harm, and He will prosper you.

You can not out give God.  I know, I’ve tried, and He showed me how wrong I was.

An Awesome God

“Father God” is the God of all creation.  He is my Father, I am His child.

His Son Jesus is my redemption and my Salvation, and what He did on the cross for me is my healing, my shelter from the enemy who would try to come against me.

He is my Love, my Life, and in Him all things are complete.

“There is no other God!”

He is a living, breathing God Who cares for me.  He meets my needs, heals my sickness, and keeps me from harm.

How could I ask for more?

He loves me through all my faults, and gives me Peace.

“Now THIS is an awesome God.”
